Note for Tom

As your time has value,
the idea is to save you trying to find my address
in a congested maze of busy streets.

2

I really appreciate your offer to drop things off.

3

Exercise and fresh air is always good for me.

4

Here are some routes I think you may take,
with drop-off points that hopefully work well for you as the driver.

5

This webpage has been in mind for ages,
and your kind offer sparked getting it done -
Thank You! -
it will save hours in future.

6

It is a very useful webpage to have,
as no need for composing complicated emails
to each person with an offer to drop-off -
with potential error and confusion
to try and sort out in emails that go back and forth -
just write a short personal text to each individual,
and add a standard email with the link.

7

Hopefully - this webpage is easy to understand.

8

Suggestions for improvements are always welcome.

1 - A23 / A27 FLYOVER ROUNDABOUT - CAFE WAGON

1

There is a perfect drop-off point,
at the north end of the flyover roundabout,
where the cafe wagon stands.

4 - A27 - FALMER - WOODINGDEAN

1

Turn left at the traffic lights at Woodingdean,
and at the end of the left-hand shops in Warren Way,
there is a left-hand junction into Sandhurst Avenue.

2

The left-hand turn is uphill,,
and there are yellow lines on the left,
with - on the one occasion I looked - ample space to park briefly.

2 - A270 - PRESTON CIRCUS - LEWES ROAD - WOODINGDEAN

1

If your route is A270 to Preston Circus - Lewes Road - Bear Road - Woodingdean,
after the Ditchling Road traffic lights,
take the second RIGHT into Park Crescent Terrace,
and immediately LEFT into Park Crescent Road.

2

Meet close to the Park Crescent Terrace & Park Crescent Road junction.

2

At end of Park Crescent Road,
turn LEFT, then RIGHT, to rejoin A270.

3 - BRIGHTON SEAFRONT

1

If your route is right along the seafront,
if you turn onto Madeira Drive by the Pier,
I suggest the very end of the arcade,
where the steps come down from Max Miller Walk.

Alternate 1

If your route is A270 to Preston Circus,
then London Road to seafront,
I suggest the large parking area immediately before Sainsburys
at the bottom of St James Street.

Alternate 2

If your route is by Dyke Road to city centre,
and then via St James Street,
I suggest you turn LEFT into High Street by the Ranalegh Pub,
and immediately RIGHT into Ardingly Street,
and park at the base of the tower block.

CONTACT - ZEN'S MOBILE

1

___ZEN_______MOBILE_________07.570.97.88.69

2

Zen has Tinnitus - ringing in the ears -
probably from firing high-velocity weapons as a TAVR infantryman,
and
does not always hear his mobile,
so
if no reply to a txt fairly soon,
keep trying txts,
or ring until an answer.

3

If conscious,
and near his PC,
Zen checks for emails often.

4

One thing the army taught Zen,
is always make an alternative plan
to cover any problem that may arise.

If nothing works by, say, mid-afternoon,
the owner of the house
has a landline with a louder ring.

BRITISH & US ARMY LOAD-CARRYING FRAMES

IMG

1

Ex-army load-carrying frames,
are quite rare items of kit.

2

Load-carrying frames can be used as a standalone,
or with a dedicated rucksack attached,
allowing more weight to be carried more easily.

3

The IMG above
shows a Bisley 15 drawer steel cabinet.

As an awkward, heavy, and bulky item,
it is impossible to carry in one's arms,
even over a short distance.

Zen moved it from Brighton Marina to Hanover -
to show it can be done.

4

Zen has a heavy duty sack truck
for things too bulky or heavy for man-packing.
